Applications have opened to fill the position of Chief Executive of Chatham Islands Council.
Current CE Owen Pickles is finishing with the organisation early in 2024.
The Chief Executive Officer is the principal advisor to the elected Council, advocating strongly for the Chatham Islands, ensuring the voice of the islands is heard in local government reforms, and leading the strategic planning for the future long-term sustainability of the Chathams.
Mayor Monique Croon says this is a rare and exciting opportunity for an experienced and resilient local government senior leader with a proven track record, or a high-potential candidate ready to step-up to the challenge of chief executive leadership in one of the most unique places on earth.
“This role requires a person who can demonstrate a commitment to acting in the best interests of the Council and their people, with the well-being and engagement of the community at the heart of any decisions.”
Applications close 19 April 2023.
